Cats can contract leukemia virus from their monthers or from other cats, so every cat should be tested before vaccination or before being introduced to new cats. If they already have the disease, they do not need the vaccine! Begin at 3 months of age and give 2 vaccines, 3 weeks apart. Then give every year.
LEUKEMIA TESTING IS RECOMMENDED for all cats under 8 months.
LEUKEMIA/AIDS TESTING IS RECOMMENDED for all cats 8 months and older.
